The Norut Group
Norut Tromsø takes care of corporate functions for the subsidiary companies in Alta, Tromsø and Narvik.
The Norut Group comprises three research institutes within technology and social science research, and an innovation company.
The company’s full name is Northern Research Institute Tromsø AS, while the short name is Norut Tromsø. The Norut Group consists of the following institutes:
The group’s administration has corporate responsibility for the strategic development of Norut, and for a long-term and sound professional and economic development of the group as a whole. The parent company also has responsibility for secretarial and project work that does not naturally belong to any of the subsidiary companies.
The University of Tromsø is the majority shareholder of Norut Tromsø. The Norut Group employs a staff of approximately 120. The Norut Group’s administration is located at the Tromsø Science Park on the university campus.
