Previous studies has shown that some of the effects of the eskimo diet can be related to several components of their diet. The measured effects of intake of unrefined whale oil cannot come from the oil's content of omega-3 alone. It is likely that the effects originates from some of the components that are removed by refining the oil for consumption or by heat treatment (cooking).

This project will try to locate where in the refinement process or at what temperatures the positive components are lost.

Norut IT contributes with advanced techniques and methods such as multivariat data analysis to get a better overview of the dataset.
