The goal is to enhance our understanding of the interaction of microwaves with snow and ice cover applying c-band ground penetrating radar together with Envisat. New methods for retrieval of cryospheric variable from Earth Observation (EO) data will be developed in order to increase the usefulness of EO data by environmental authorities and research community.
