Social Science Research Tromsø (ST)
The Social Science Research group of Norut Tromsø focuses on the following themes:
- Public planning, governance and steering
- Industry, innovation and regional development
- The High North
- Technology and society
The group comprises 18 employees, including 12 Research Scientists (9 with a PhD or similar), 1 Senior Advisor and 5 Adjunct Professors.
The staff's competence include political science, sociology, planning, community studies, social philosophy, human geography, business/marketing and economics.
The research group cooperates very closely with Norut Alta.
Research Director is Eirik Mikkelsen.
