Marit Anne Aure![]()
CVMarit Aure holds a MA and PhD (Dr.polit) in Planning and Community Studies from the University of Tromsø, Norway. Her research field is local and regional development, national and international migration included Russian-Norwegian labour migration, borders and demography, coping processes, coastal communities, fish processing industry, transnationalism and gender studies. She is mainly qualitatively trained and works cross-disciplinary drawing on perspectives from human geography, sociology, political science and anthropology. Her current research focuses on high skilled migrants and integration in high skilled labor. She has published in journals and books, for instance in The Reflexive North and Sosiologi i dag [Sociology today], Demography at the Edge: Remote human populations in developed nations. Farnham, England: Ashgate. Aure is an experienced teacher, lecturer and has written several feature articles. She is a member of the COST EastBoardNet. Outreach: Aure is the elected leader of the Association for Gender Research in Norway - FOKK, and a member of the board of Global Future, a program on integration of migrants in the labour marked, run by the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). |
